Listed below by date are the summer events scheduled for kids, kids, kids! We start in June and go through July. Check out the "Key" to the right for a hint on how to quickly see what event is right for your family! Have a great summer!		Are you interested in an event for your Preschool (Birth to Entering Kindergarten) Child? If so, look for the events with the Rubber Ducky beside them. What about Gradeschool age children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade? Just look for the Flip Flops that will be located next to events for those students.
		JOYLAND BEACH PARTY When: June 8th - 9:30am-10:30am Who: Everyone- Children must be accompanied by parent or adult caregiver Where: The Heights Sand Volleyball Court Cost: Free Bring all of your sand toys and wear your bathing suit! Join us on the sand volleyball court on the southwest corner of the church for a morning of fun in the sand and wading pools. 		KDOG Camp When: June 6-10, 2009 Who: Completed 3rd-6th Grades Where: Brookhaven Retreat Center Hawkins, Texas Cost: $230 per child Registration begins March 29th. Jumpstart your summer with KDOG Camp! KDOG Camp is going to be an awesome week of Bible study, worship, wild and crazy games, and special memories to last a lifetime. We are going to be discovering what the Bible has to say about who we are in Christ. Why was I created? What is my purpose? Don’t miss out on an exciting week! 		PLAYDAZE PETTING ZOO When: June 15th - 10:30am Who: Everyone - Children must be accompanied by parent or adult caregiver Where: The grassy area between the buildings. Enter through the West Parking Lot of the church Cost: Free Join your friends at the west parking lot of the church as we hear, see, smell, and touch some of the animals God has created. 		Tiny Tots & Tunes Mini Camp Theme: "GO FISH" When: June 15-18 at The Heights 2 Age Groups for Classes: Birth to 17 months & 18 months - age 3 Class Times: 9:30-10:20am & 10:30-11:20 am (Limit 12-15 per class) Cost: Early Bird $25 (thru May 19) $30 (after May 19) In the style of Kindermusik and Gymboree programs for babies and toddlers, we will be having a time of music, movement, instruments, prayer and worship with you and your child. Due to the nature of the class, a caregiver is mandatory. 		Dance Camp for Ages 2-7 (kids) When:July 6-10th and August 17-21st Who: Girls and Boys ages 2 1/2-7 years old Where: The Heights Choir Room Cost: $85.00 We will be offering beginner ballet/tap combo class for girls and a jazz/hip hop combo for boys and girls. This fun and creative class will give students a solid foundation to becoming a dancer. There will be a recital on the last day of camp. Times for class depends on the age of the kid. 		Mini Camp When: July 10-11, 2009 Who: Completed 1st-2nd Grades Where: Camp Copass Denton, Texas Cost: $75 per child Registration begins March 29th. Minicamp is a great introduction to camp. Campers will have the opportunity to swim, create an edible craft, play putt putt golf, bounce on inflatables and party at a luau! Our Bible stories for the weekend will be about Daniel. Can our God rescue us out of any situation? Minicamp is a super experience for our young children. Mark your calendars now! 		Basketball Camp When: July 13-17 Basketball Camp is for boys and girls, completed kindergarten through completed 6th grade. 		Summer Music Spectacular When: July 20-23, 9:00am - 2:00pm Who: For Grades K-6 (completed) This is a summer music day camp experience for any child who has completed Kindergarten—6th grade. Any child, attendee or non-attendee of The Heights may participate!! “Early Bird” cost of SMS this year is $65.00 per child through June 23rd. After that date, the cost will be $75.00 per child. Deadline for sign up is July 9. Camp space is limited. Optional Drama Camp to follow for grades 2-6 (completed) from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. with Patrick Williams and team! 		JOYLAND'S Mini Music Camp "Hermie & Friends" When: August 4-7 at The Heights Who: Age 3 (as of Sept 1, 2008) to those entering Kindergarten Times: Daily, 9:30-11:30am Hermie the Common Caterpillar has a lot in common with kids. He is small, plays in the dirt, climbs trees, is facinated with ladybugs and butterflies, likes to pretend he is someone amazing, and gets frustrated because he can't do everything he wants to be able to do! Through our music camp, kids will learn with Hermie, that God made the world. God made me. I am special. And God loves me!! Our early bird price is $ 25.00 per child, $ 20 for additional siblings with a family maximum of $ 50 through July 1. After July 1, cost goes up $ 30 per child, $ 25 for additional siblings with a family maximum of $ 60. Deadline for sign up is July 21. 		PLAYDAZE POTTERY PAINTING When: August 12th - 10:30-11:30 Who: Children who are three years old or older. Children must be accompanied by parent or adult caregiver Where: Mezzanine Cost: $5.00 per child / Reservations must be made by August 1st. Three, four, and five year old children, please join your friends in the Mezzanine of the church for a morning of storytelling and art by “Paint yer Pottery.” Fee is $5.00 per child and space is limited.
